Punjabi actress, poetess and anchor, Satinder Satti is now a practicing advocate after qualifying the degree of law from Alberta, Canada. “I was stuck in Canada in the first lockdown of 2020,” she tells us, adding, “I was going to be by myself for six months, which is the longest I have been alone. Since I already has an Indian law degree, I decided to utilize my time to upgrade to Canadian law.” It took Satti six months to clear the rigorous exams of upgrading process and eventually she received her license as barrister in Alberta.
Says Satti, "While awarding the license, the judiciary official said that it was a fan moment for him, to award a degree to someone whom he has seen on screen as an actor and artiste. That made me feel proud and that is when I realised that yes, this is an achievement for me. The judiciary also said that is for the first time in their careers that they were awarding license to someone who is a celebrity."
