This week Punjabi legendary singer Surinder Shinda passed away. He was 64 years old when he breathed his last at the DMC hospital in Ludhiana. He was hospitalized for 20 days before his demise due to health conditions. There were rumours that he was on the ventilator, but his son during a social media live rubbished such reports. He even told that his father was doing better; however, fate had something else in store and Surinder Shinda left the mortal world on July 26.

Simi Chahal who is currently enjoying the successful run of her film ‘Kade Dade Diyan Kade Pote Diyan’ will next be seen in ‘Jee Sohneya Jee’. It is a Punjabi romantic movie that will feature Simi opposite Imran Abbas. The film’s shoot went on the floors this week and it will be released in cinemas in 2024. The movie is being directed by the National Award Winning director Vijay Kumar Arora.

‘Warning 2’ is one of the highly awaited Punjabi thrillers. Its sequel was highly appreciated by one and all, and the same is being expected from the second installment. The Gippy Grewal starrer was initially scheduled to be released in November 2023 but now will be making it to the big screens on February 2, 2024. Directed by Amar Hundal, the movie features Gippy Grewal, Jasmin Bhasin, Dheeraj Kumar, Prince Kanwaljit, and more in pivotal roles.

Both Sunanda Sharma and Bilal Saeed are among the most popular Punjabi singers in the industry. This week they shared that they are coming together for a musical treat, and it brought a wave of excitement and contentment among their fans and in the industry. They are collaborating on the song ‘Udh Di Phiraan,’ whose poster has been shared on their respective social handles. Besides giving vocals, Bilal has worked on the lyrics and composition of the song, which will be making it to the music charts on July 31, 2023.
