New-age comedy is not easy to do: Sardar Sohi

. He calls the new-age humour not easy to do. “I am not at ease doing comedy,” admits Sohi, who is senior among many actor-writers in

Punjabi

films.
“I find it absurd sometimes. We have done comedy in the past, in movies and onstage, but this new generation funny sequences are at another level. I can’t understand what’s going on. Maybe it’s the current style or rage but I am not fit for it.” There have been occasions when Sohi got uncomfortable doing a comedy scene. "For me, there cannot be so many different types of comedies. Comedy has to be just simple and light-hearted.” Sohi also said that people ask him if he is comfortable doing serious roles. "And I tell them anything which shares a connect with society, I love it.”
