Maa: Babbal Rai and Aarushi Sharma kick start the shoot of the Gippy Grewal production

On one hand, where Gippy Grewal starrer ‘Ik Sandhu Hunda Si’ is all set to hit the big screen this Friday, on the other, his next production ‘Maa’ has gone on the floors.

The movie has Babbal Rai and Aarushi Sharma in the lead, and these stars will be directed by the ‘Manje Bistre’ director Baljit Singh Deo. In the movie, Babbal Rai will be seen filling in the shoes of a sports person, and even the female lead too will reportedly be also seen as a sport enthusiast.




Talking about the movie in an exclusive word with ETimes, Babbal Rai mentioned that he had to work really hard in the gym so as to get an athletic physique. He even cut down all the carbs and sugar from his diet so as to get the right shape.

Further, Divya Dutta will be seen playing Babbal Rai’s mother in the movie, while Vadda Grewal, Gurpreet Ghuggi and Rana Ranbir will be seen in pivotal roles. The film is scheduled to hit the box office this Mother's Day, i.e. 10th May.
