‘Kali Jotta’ trailer review: It’s a dark page from the life of a woman who tried to live life on her own terms

The trailer of Neeru Bajwa, Satinder Sartaaj, and Wamiqa Gabbi’s ‘Kali Jotta’ recently came out, and without a doubt, it is all things captivating. When the poster and song from the movie came out, everyone thought that ‘Kali Jotta’ would be a love story. But believe us when we say that there is more than what meets the eye. The trailer of the movie has shown other dimensions, and another storyline, which will make your heart sink in no time.
Story
Rabia is a girl who doesn’t believe in just living life but loving every moment of it.She is mischievous, full of love, and skillful; she spreads smiles wherever she goes and is known to wear her heart on her sleeves. However, she didn’t know that she had to pay a price for her outgoing and loving personality. Her friendly and happy-go-lucky personality didn't go down well with the patriarchal society. She is given the worst tags a woman can ask for. Then, we see that she just disappears from the map.
Years later, one of her students goes out on a search to find her, but all she finds are the pieces of her broken identity. The student fights for Rabia’s lost name, but whether or not she succeeds is something that will be unveiled once the movie comes out on February 3, 2023.
