Actor, Ihana Dhillon finally united with her parents on Thursday after nearly six months. Ihana was in Mumbai till March to shoot the music video of a song by 'Dabangg 3' singer, Jubin Nautiyal, when the country was locked down. The Hate Story IV and Punjabi actor managed to secure a flight ticket back to Chandigarh on June 11 and travelled by air wearing a PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) suit.

"I booked my air tickets twice earlier, soon as relaxations were announced on travel," says Ihana who has done Punjabi films like, 'Daddy Cool Munde Fool', 'Blackia' among others. “Unfortunately, the flight got cancelled and I got stuck here in Mumbai. My parents live in Faridkot in Punjab while my sister stays in Chandigarh. Given the pandemic, I was worried about my parents living alone in Punjab in the situation.”

Ihana will self-quarantine in Faridkot for a fortnight in her parents’ house without meeting them up close. “My parents are old and I was anxious about their well-being. Not wanting to risk their safety, and mine, during the travel from Mumbai airport I covered up completely in the PPE. The situation is scary in Mumbai. Even if I contracted the virus, I could still stay asymptomatic while potentially becoming a carrier for my parents who are older," she says.
With the release of her Punjabi film, 'Gol Gappe' that was set for release in April, being postponed, Ihana says though disappointed, she is willing to wait for the situation to tide over. “Besides Punjabi, my Hindi film, 'Bhuj' is also in limbo. I heard that some Punjabi producers are planning to start shooting sometime soon. But producers of my films are in no hurry and will wait for things to settle down,” says Ihana who spent the lockdown learning Spanish, doing yoga and meditation besides reading books.
