IV actor, Ihana Dhillon recently celebrated her

birthday

on August 18 in the hills with her family. While the Punjabi and Bollywood actor had a gala time with her family, she also utilised this time to start a birthday fundraiser for

underprivileged kids

whose education is affected by COVID-19. She has collaborated with an online platform for the same and is helping raise money through her social media accounts. She says, "The world has suffered a lot through the pandemic. The kids from poorer sections have suffered immensely in their education as deaths occurred in their families. They have been battered emotionally, mentally and financially. Any help towards them right now would be noble. Kids are the future of our country and education is a pillar of strength. And there are so many deserving kids who never get an opportunity to go to school even though education is everyone's right."
On the work front, Ihana, who travelled back from Mumbai to Punjab soon after the lockdown was lifted to be with her aging parents, has shot for two Punjabi music videos in the last one month. Her first was with

Deep Money

and her second, released recently, is for

singer Navraj Hans

. "I came home to celebrate my birthday with my family. I am eating home cooked food, cooked by mom, pursuing hobbies like sketching. I used to feel guilty not giving time to them and being busy with work away from them in Mumbai. So, I am making up for all that lost time and having a good time with my parents. But we aren't meeting anyone or going out anywhere, and maintaining social distancing."

Speaking about the song with Navraj she says, "We had actually shot for

'Khaas'

(with Navraj) in Austria and Italy last December, before the pandemic. It was lovely there as it was snowing. I love the hills and the snow. I had a blast shooting the video despite the cold and while Navraj was all covered up in his jackets!"
Talking about the uncertain fate of cinema halls' reopening and her unreleased films, Ihana says, "I had some major film releases lined up this year, which all went for a toss because of

COVID

. With no clarity over the opening of cinema halls, there is a lot of economic loss to the industry. Though we understand that cinema halls pose greater risk to coronavirus exposure being closed areas, representations are being made to the govt to figure a way out to open cinemas safely. We are all waiting."
