Filmmaker Tarnvir Singh Jagpal seals a two-film project with Jimmy Sheirgill

In 2018, when filmmaker Tarnvir Singh Jagpal worked with Jimmy Sheirgill on Punjabi film Daana Paani, little did he know that he's headed for a long-term association with a Bollywood biggie. While a sequel to Daana Paani is already in the pipeline, the director has grabbed another untitled project (also in Punjabi) with Jimmy.
Confirming the development, Tarnvir said, "Yes. We will get on with another planned project soon." Though Jagpal, who will be directing the films, did not reveal much, a source said that the future project, the one dealing with a serious subject, will start soon after the major chunk of Daana Paani (part 2) is shot.Jagpal has also turned story writer for the particular film.
Jagpal is excited about his association with Jimmy. "I want to learn a lot before chasing my Bollywood dreams. I want to do a Hindi film, but I am not in a hurry. And I am not looking to forget my roots. So, when I get to work in Bollywood, Punjabi films projects will continue to happen." Sources say the untitled film is also written by Jagpal and it is his first story. Since 2016 Jagpal has been researching and writing on the project. "Jagpal is elated as his dreams are coming true after many years," said a source close to him. He added that writing is also his other passion.
