Film Jaani Chor will be set in Chandigarh

The planned

Punjabi project Jaani Chor

, which will see singer-turned-actor Jayy Randhawa, popularly known as B Jay, essaying the lead role will be set in Chandigarh. While

Randhawa

shared the film's catchy poster on his social media account, sources said a lot of dramatic and puzzling heists which took place in the past were explored to finalise the storyline. However, the one to be used for Jaani Chor is iconic where one person attempts a

big robbery

. In the poster Randhawa can be seen sporting flowy mane and leaping buildings in a bid to escape after committing theft.

The singer-actor who had entered Punjabi cinema with

Shooter

, which got banned for glorifying the life of gangster Sukha Kahlwan and promoting violence and guns, is super excited about his new film. We hear he is eager to start the shooting soon. While the script is written by Jagdeep Warring, Dilsher Singh and Khushpal Singh will direct it. Though everyone is tight-lipped about the project, sources revealed that each incident and trail is documented and filmmakers even consulted the area police to get inputs. The poster also has a newspaper clipping titled 'Biggest Robbery' from September 3 edition masking Jayy's face. Sources added that the shooting will take place in and around Chandigarh and will be wrapped up fast owing to an early deadline.
