Dev Kharoud to motivate people to join Punjab’s fight against drugs

Actor Dev Kharoud, who did various Punjabi films, says an actor can interact with the audience through cinematic works and creations. “While more films highlighting drug issue of Punjab will make an impact, our message delivering ways through roles will motivate those who have given up hope to come out of drugs. Those in drugs must know that they have a great future ahead.While meeting everyone personally might take time, through our portrayals we can have a direct interaction with the masses.” Dev tries to do things differently. “I will always try to convince a director to work on creative ways so that we can deliver an anti-drug message to those who are in the drug trap,” adds Dev.
Dev's film Blackia, directed by Sukhminder Dhanjal, showed how drug entry in Punjab was planned decades ago which was Pakistan’s nefarious design to destabilize Punjab. It showed how the drug syndicate/cartel did not just mushroom across Punjab one fine day.
