After a quarter century of his singing debut, Ashok Mastie (43) made a splash on big screen via Punjabi films. As he switched tracks he remained particular about his screen image and decided not to do anything which can earn him the tag of frivolous actor.
The Thekeyan Te Nit Khadke Glassi fame, who explored the other side of entertainment world through his first film Musafir, said, "Many actors, particularly in Bollywood, love this idea.
But I look to do substantial roles. Age of an actress paired opposite me is also important. That's why I would never want to be spotted romancing actresses half my age. I don't find all this cool."
Mastie, who likes to do new things to remain updated, has some big plans for future. However, the things will pick up when things get fine. But the lockdown gave him much time to prepare for other things besides doing riyaz.
