Ammy Virk's film, 83's trailer has been displayed on Burj Khalifa. As the trailer lights it up, Ammy can be seen on the tall, iconic structure. Ammy, who is playing the lucky charm of '83' cricket World Cup team, medium pace bowler Balwinder Singh Sandhu, got the opportunity to get displayed on the tallest building in the world- Burj Khalifa as the trailer of film '83' was played there.
Ammy s the first Punjabi actor who got featured on Dubai's skyscraper. He says, "This is a very proud moment for me and also my team, and for Punjab too."
Ammy, who has given recent hits like Qismat, Nikka Zaildar, Bambukat, among the previous films, was surprised to learn that his fans in Dubai gathered to see is trailer on Burj Khalifa as soon as word about the trailer spread. "I feel blessed to receive all this love," says Ammy.
'83' revolves around the events that transpired at the 1983 World Cup tournament. India, who were considered as the underdogs of the tournament, went on to win the cup, making history that year.
The trailer received a standing ovation from the audience at its World's premier at the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah. Though Ammy is playing the character of a sportsperson in the movie, Ammy has added his own flavour and vibe to this role.
