Ajay Sarkaria: Lata Mangeshkar’s music will live forever

Lata Mangeshkar’s demise has left everyone in grief. Social media is flooded with posts crafted to pay final tribute to the legendary singer. Punjabi actor Ajay Sarkaria also paid his respects to the late singer. “Today we have lost the voice of Indian music, the nightingale of India,” said Ajay Sarkaria talking to ETimes exclusively.

“ It's a sad day for the entire nation as we have lost a gem. Her voice will always be cherished. India is grateful that she represented the nation at the world level,” he added.

Recalling the late singer, Ajay also mentioned one song of Lata Ji he loves to listen to on repeat. He said, “I can never get tired of listening to ‘Tuje Dekha To Ye Jana Sanam’. It would be an understatement to say that her voice is music to ears.”


Lata Mangeshkar breathed her last at the age of 92. Her last rites will be held at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park at 6:30 pm.
