Gippy Grewal who today with God’s grace and his hard work has got all the luxuries of life has faced the worst of times as well.His debut album, which he released after collecting money from his relatives didn’t pay off. Even after releasing a hit song, he wasn’t a famous face. Thereafter, when after marriage he shifted to Canada, he worked three jobs with his wife.
Since Gippy’s wife, Ravneet had a good command of the language of English, she was able to get the job of a manager at a popular food outlet. On the other hand, Gippy used to work a construction based job. Recalling his days Gippy in a media interaction said that the odor of cement never left his body at that time, and he even had rashes on his hands owing to his work. Also, besides this day shift, they had an early morning job of delivering newspapers and late-night work of cleaning a mall.
Many might think that this was a dark phase of Gippy’s life, but he feels it was a good phase. After all his efforts, he was being paid, and from the very money, he was able to release an album that worked wonders for him.
