Punjabi producer Munish Sahni was in the national capital today for accepting the Best Punjabi Film Award for ‘Harjeeta’. The filmmaker received the award from the Vice President
Venkaiah Naidu and it was the moment of pride and joy.
In order to express his contentment, Munish took to his banner’s official social media handle and shared pictures and videos from the ceremony.
Sharing the same he wrote, “We are filled with gratitude and happiness to receive Best Punjabi Film Award for ‘HARJEETA’ at 66th National Film Awards. A filmmaker’s journey is all about conviction and following the vision. We are proud of team Harjeeta for believing and creating this masterpiece!😇🙏🏻#Harjeeta #66thNationalFilmAwards”
Along with the producer, the captain of the ship, Vijay Kumar Arora was also honored with the Ratan Kamal Award for his direction.
Talking further of the awards, Sameep Singh who played young ‘Harjeeta’ in the movie, won the award for the Best Child Artist. ‘Harjeeta’ was the debut Punjabi movie of Sameep, and now it turned all the more special for him as it made his bag his first national award.
