Vinay Apte’s last film highlights issue of farmer suicide

Many films dealing with issues on farmer suicides in Maharashtra have come and gone. But none have managed to find any solution nor they have helped in preventing suicides.
Now, producers Shivajirao Jadhav, Santosh Sutar and Nikhil Nangude are all set to address the issue with their new film Dhondi. The film will mainly focus on the living conditions of the farmers and will bring up the issue with the those who living in the city.
Director Monish Uddhav Pawar believes that if a farmer is fairly paid for the crop, they would not take this extreme step. This thought provoking film will enable farmers to think twice before taking this drastic step.
The film stars National award winning actor Vivek Chabukswar along with Sayaji Shinde, Pooja Pawar, and late Vinay Apte among others. This will be the last released film of Vinay Apte and hence the film will be a tribute to this late actor. The film ‘Dhondi‘ is all set to release on 9th June 2017.
