Well-known Marathi actor
Prashant Damle, who has acted in all the creative mediums, including films, television and theatre, is quite partial to stage. In a recent chat, he told us, "I love to do theatre; it is my life. The challenges that theatre offers and the fact that you get to travel to different places to stage your plays, offers a unique opportunity to actors like me."
He admits that TV as a medium makes you a household name among the masses but goes on to add, "It is an interesting medium to explore, but ultimately it is the stage that gives you greatest satisfaction."
Prashant is currently charming the theatre lovers in his latest play 'Sakhar Khallela Manus’ where he plays an Insurance Company Manager, who leaves his secured job and joins a private insurance company for better money.
But, in the race of achieving monthly targets, he is under stress and takes to heavy drinking and smoking during weekly parties. This results in detection of type 2 diabetes. The play skillfully presented by director
Chandrakant Kulkarni sees Prashant Damle and
Shubhangi Gokhale sail through comic situations, throughout the play.
