I never asks for complimentary passes to watch plays: Sonali Kulkarni
Actor Sonali Kulkarni, who began her journey in showbiz with theatre, continues to hold the medium close to her heart. Having performed in several college fests, and later in many commercial plays, she believes theatre offers a magic that no other medium can replicate ie., watching actors transform into characters, live and right in front of your eyes.
Sharing a personal principle she follows as a theatre lover, Sonali, a recent event, revealed that she never asks for complimentary passes to watch a play. "I am by the grace of God, financially independent enough to buy my own tickets. I believe enjoying theatre should never be based on favours. I’m not drawn to free front-row passes. For me, paying for watching a play is a mark of respect for the art and the artists on stage,” she explains.
