Are theatre actors under stress?

Theatre actor Sagar Chougule’s death due to cardiac arrest has highlighted the stress among actors. This is the second incident in last six months where theater artist have suffered cardiac attack.
Last year in October, eminent Marathi actor Ashwini Ekbote died due to heart attack while performing on stage at Bharat Natya Mandir. In 2013 actor Prashant Damale has also suffered mild heart attack.Damale was preparing for re-staging of one of the most popular plays of his theatre career — Eka Lagnachi Goshta.
Sagar Shantaram Chougule resident of Kolhapur was performing at ‘Agnidivya’ a Marathi drama based on life of social reformer Shahu Maharaj when he suffered cardia arrest.
The drama was a part of competition. According to information Sagar (38) fainted when he was delivering a dialogue. Later he was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead. Sagar is survived by his mother, wife and a daughter.
