Vaibhav Mangle who has established himself as a multitalented person with his acting, singing and now painting skill is set to help backstage artistes who are suffering due to no work during this pandemic situation.
The Corona pandemic scenario closed down theatre affecting livelihood of the backstage artistes. Many organizations and even actors came together and shell out money to help these backstage artistes.
Though shoots for cinema and TV have resumed there are rare chances of starting of auditoriums soon. Hence, to help back stage artistes, actor Vaibhav Mangale has decided to sell paintings he made during lockdown. The money collected from the sale will be given to the needy artistes.
During the lockdown, many artistes picked up different skills and learnt many things. The
Timepass movie actor Vaibhav also picked up painting. Shifted to his hometown Konkan during lockdown, the actor painted over 100 paintings. He also posted about it on social media. He says, "When I posted these paintings on social media many showed interests to have these paintings. After reading the comments, a thought to sell these paintings came into my mind. I do not earn my bread and butter by paintings but money earned by selling these artworks can be utilized for the needy backstage artistes who are the most affected due to closure of auditorium. Also, there is no sight that the auditoriums will start soon."
The actor is getting good response from people in the form of sales "Various people from the entertainment industry expressed interest and even actress Kishori Godbole bought one painting recently. Even actress
Vandana Gupte is also going to buy a few," Vaibhav adds. On the work front the actor is essaying the role of ‘witch’ in the play Albattya Galbattya.
