Sanskruti Balgude sizzles in new lavani

Sanskruti Balgude, who was last seen, opposite Vaibhav Tatwawadi in ‘Shortcut’, is all set to show-off her dancing prowess in her upcoming film 'Nivdung'. <br /><br />Produced and directed by Munavar Shamim Bhagat, the film sheds light on the issues of the farming community of <st1:place>Maharashtra</st1:place>, which includes current social issues like farmer suicides and drought.<br /><br />The initial shooting schedule of the film took place in Shirdi, while the second schedule is ongoing at <st1:place><st1:placename>Film</st1:placename> <st1:placetype>City</st1:placetype></st1:place> in Mumbai.Recently, Bhagat filmed a lavani sequence, featuring his leading lady Sanskruti. The song is sung by Urmila Dhangar, penned by Zaheer Kalam, and Rafiq Shaikh composed the music. The song was choreographed by Meghana Sampat for the film. <br /><br />Sankruti said, “I love performing lavani, but this one is special. It’s not just an entertainer in the film, but actually takes the story forward.” Bhushan Pradhan, with whom Sanskruti reunites on-screen after four years, said, “Sanskruiti is not only a talented actress but also a talented dancer. You must definitely watch her dance as she has done this Lavani superbly.” <br /><br />Bhushan added, “This might be Munawar’s first film in Marathi, but he has some significant work in Hindi.
