Nude set to open New York Indian Film Festival

is all set to be the opening film at Indo American council’s New York Indian Film Festival.

The movie was also supposed to be the opening film in the Indian Panorama section at IIFI Goa. However, Nude and Sanal Kumar Sasidharan’s Malayalam movie S Durga were dropped at the last minute by the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, which funds IFFI, despite the recommendations of the selection panel.The film features actress Kalyanee Mulay, an active theatre artiste in the role of a model who poses for art students’ nude portraits.

It has brought two remarkable filmmakers from the Marathi film industry – Ravi Jadhav and Sachin Kundalkar together. While the story is written by Sachin, the movie is directed by Ravi.

The movie also has Naseeruddin Shah playing the role of painter in the movie and is set to finally release on 27th April.
