The latest Marathi release 'Kaul - A Calling
', directed by
Aadish Keluskar, has garnered much appreciation from all quarters for its way of storytelling, dialogues and haunting music.
Perhaps in a first-of-its-kind scenario, the makers haven't released the film's songs beforehand, doing away from the general practice of releasing songs much before the movie itself. But then, the film has been doing away with a lot of conventional things and this is just one of them. Recently, the title track of 'Kaul', one of the eight songs, was released online. Like the movie, the track too has a certain eeriness that sets in the moment you start listening to it. Composed by

and with lyrics written by
Mahesh Keluskar
, the track has been crooned by
Ganesh Chandanshive
in his trademark rustic voice.
Going forward, the makers will release the other songs one by one, in order to keep the curiosity intact.
