Music Review: Muramba

When Jasraj Jayant Joshi, Saurabh Bhalerao and Hrishikesh Datar compose music, you expect something fresh. And you have to give it to them; be it the beautiful songs from 'Double Seat' or crazy ones from 'YZ', they never disappoint.
'

Muramba

' adds another gem to their illustrious repertoire. The music is young and appealing, much different from what has been falling on the ears since the last few months.

The album starts with the title track sung by Jasraj and Mithila Palkar (who also plays the female lead in the film). The indie-pop like song is pure gold. Jasraj is the hero of the song but Mithila gives him good company.

Amey Wagh, the male protagonist of Muramba, croons Chuktay, the next song on the list. Is there anything this person can’t do? Fusing rock with elements of Indian classical, Chuktay imbibes quirky lyrics to give an offbeat track. Maze tuze by Anuradha Kuber again is another beautiful track. The semi-classical song is a treat to the ears. It is soothing and leaves an after-effect on you. Rohit Raut and Aanandi Joshi’s duet Aga aik na brings the album to a close. Written by Jitendra Joshi, this peppy track is more like a conversation, a melodious one at that.

Throughout the album, you are engrossed in the songs. That’s a rarity today and that’s reason enough to play this one on a loop.
