Even youngsters love to listen to kirtans: Kartiki Gaikwad

Young singer Kartiki Gaikwad who rose to fame with reality singing show has sung song of various genres, but singing devotional songs has been her favourite. In a recent interview with an online portal she said that even youngsters love to listen to kirtans and devotional songs and that she is one of them. She shares, “The society is enlightened through kirtan.Kirtans tells us how to behave, to speak, to conduct ourselves in life. From the point of view of abstinence, a good practice is taught. So I think the youth connects to the kirtan genre of songs as well as it comes with values. The numbers of young singers are on the increase and the younger generation who enjoy kirtan has also grown.”
