After gaining experience by composing music for renowned artists like Padma Shri Padmaja Phenani Joglekar and Shadab Rayeen for his first album ‘Rang’, musician Akshay Khot recently composed a Marathi song 'Pavlana Marga Kale na'. The song is sung by
Arijit Singh for Marathi film 'Yes I Can' which is due to release soon.
Meanwhile, his another track 'Tere Bagair', a soulful number is doing a round on social media due to it's different theme.
The video of the song narrates the love story between two partners, who live life to the fullest in each other’s company and create memories that will last for a lifetime. The track apart from being soulful imparts the important message of love, love which should not have any boundaries whatsoever.
Akshay says, "In a creative discussion with the team and the director of the video, we decided to go with this theme. I strongly believe in inclusion in everything so I immediately connected this LGBT theme to Tere Bagair as the song speaks about unrecognized love. This was our way of bringing some more awareness to the LGBT community who face discrimination and harassment because of society's closed minds and sentiments. The community is everyday people who are the same as us but are unfortunately treated differently."
Akshay, who’s inclination towards music began at an early age, honed his talent meticulously and his music is a testament of it. According to him ‘Tere Bagair’ is bound to strike a chord with the audiences primarily because of it’s relatable theme, the bittersweet feeling that memories can have on us all. “This song is very close to my heart. It's relatable and liberating in equal measure as these are emotions we have all experienced in one way or the other. I hope people enjoy listening to the song as much as we did creating it.” He concludes.
