Though he is busy with his next directorial, Ajay Naik has taken time out to compose and shoot a single, courtesy his love for music. 'Rang Aboli
' is his attempt to put focus back on non-film music.
In the 90s, there were so many singles and non-film albums. Many established singers of today owe their success to those albums. But of late, this kind of music has taken a backseat and I want to give music lovers meaningful songs that stay with them for a long time, says the 'Baavare Prem He' director.
Although 'Rang Aboli' has singers Hrishikesh Ranade and Deepika Jog-Datar lending their voices to it, in his endeavour, Ajay has decided to collaborate with non-singers as well. He informs, In the future, I am planning to rope in actors and actresses who understand music, to croon for singles. It is an ongoing process and I am positive of getting a good response. Film music has restrictions. We have to make songs that fit in the story, but singles are different. They offer a chance to create music that we are passionate about.
