It's raining marriages in the Marathi film industry. We give you a lowdown on popular actors who did away with their 'single' status and got hitched this wedding season.

Amruta Khanvilkar
Recently, Amruta shocked her fans by announcing her marriage plans with actor Himmanshoo Ashok Malhotra who is from Delhi. The couple, which has been in a long relationship, will tie the knot on January 24, 2015.
Talking about his forthcoming nuptials, Himmanshoo said, “The elders in our families decided the date. It's Basant Panchami and a very auspicious day to get married. All the grahas are in the perfect position and everything has worked out well. However, we are still figuring out about the ceremonies that will be held in Delhi and Mumbai.”
Himmanshoo and Amruta's love story began on the sets of 'India's Best Cinestars Ki Khoj' in 2004. “We met on this reality show where we were both participants. It has been 10 years since we first met and we are the best of friends. We started out as best friends and eventually started dating. We have experienced various ups and downs, successes and failures together and we still continue to be the best of friends. Amruta and I can also be called a ‘2 States’ jodi, since I hail from Delhi and she is from Maharashtra,” he added.

Pushkar Jog
The actor-director too surprised his fans by revealing his marriage plans four days before the wedding. Pushkar tied the knot on November 26 with Jasmine Bramhbhatt, his college friend who works with an Indian airline as cabin crew. The wedding took place according to traditional rituals, followed by a reception for which only family and close friends were invited.
Talking about his sudden marriage, Pushkar said, “I decided to get married as I felt I needed to settle down. Jasmine and I have been friends since we were medical students at a college together. Our families did not feel it necessary to get into formalities like an engagement as they know each other well.” About his relationship with Jasmine, he added, “Jasmine and I share similar ideologies and have good understanding between each other which is most important.”
Pushkar is throwing a party for his industry friends in Mumbai on December 8.

Siya Patil
Actor Siya Patil got married to her fiancé and businessman Ravindra Sathe on November 26 in Mumbai.
Talking about her wedding, Siya told us, “I met Ravi through a matrimonial site, so its a totally arranged match and we got engaged only last month. But I have met his family members who instantly made me feel like one of them. The marriage will take place according to traditional Maharashtrian rituals. I plan to wear one of my mother's nauvari saris at the time of the wedding.” Close friends and actors Pooja Sawant and Manisha Kelkar and senior actors like Mohan Joshi, Sharad Ponkshe, Vijay Patkar and Jayashree T attended Siya’s wedding.

Rohan Mankani
This actor, ad maker and wine expert, who is the son of yesteryear actor Ravindra Mankani, will tie the knot with his long-term girlfriend and voice over artist Mrunmayee Kulkarni on December 7. The couple had got engaged in Goa in November 2012.
It will be a registered marriage which will take place in the presence of close ones, followed by a reception in Pune on November 9 informed Rohan. “Our engagement was quite a grand affair, but Mrunmayee wanted the wedding to be simple. We are going to give all traditional rituals a miss and only get a registration done on the wedding day,” said Rohan. Many from the Marathi film industry are expected to attend the reception which is also going to include surprise entertaining music and dance performances. “Mohan Joshi, Neena Kulkarni, Madhura Velankar, Manasi Naik are some actors who have confirmed their presence till now,” Rohan said.

Spruha Joshi
Spruha Joshi, who is a popular face on television, tied the knot with her boyfriend of five years and fiancé Varad Laghate recently. The actor had invited close friends Priya Bapat and Umesh Kamat for her wedding which was a private affair.
Spruha’s popular TV serials are ‘Eka Lagnachi Tisari Gosht' and ‘Unch Maza Zoka'.
'Bioscope', which has four different stories directed by Ravi Jadhav, Gajjendra Ahirey, Girish Mohite and Viju Mane and which is inspired by the Bollywood movie ‘Bombay Talkies', is one of Spruha’s most-awaited upcoming films.
