Bollywood stars bat for Marathi cinema

Anil Kapoor, who was recently spotted at the music launch of the upcoming Marathi movie 'Manatlya Unhat, said: ' was floored by the movie and its music composition.’

Bollywood Superstar Akshay Kumar, who is also producing Marathi films, has gone on record to say: “I am already a part of this Industry. I salute Marathi cinema. It is really commendable how versatile subjects are handled in Marathi industry.”

Salman Khan was present at the launch of actor-director Mahesh Manjrekar and his son Satya’s film “Janiva”. He quipped: “If Mahesh is ready to direct it, Satya is ready to act and if Salman Khan plays a guest appearance, I’ll make the film.”

After watching the National Award winning film 'Killa', Vidya Balan sent a text message to filmmaker Avinash Arun, saying: "Watched and loved Killa :).Such a simple n heart warming film.The world you created was so pure and the actors particularly the child actors were unbelieveable.”

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who launched the first look of Marathi film 'Dholki' on Thursday, said: " Whatever I saw of the film it is wonderful. I feel Marathi cinema is growing... good stories, films are being made today," Bachchan added.
