The shoot of a Marathi film titled 'Zhala Anant Hanumant' wrapped up recently. We learnt that the film was completed shot in Kolhapur after the Maharashtra government gave a go-ahead for the film and TV shoots albeit with certain guidelines. It is based on the late Marathi playwright
Vijay Tendulkar's popular play by the same name. However, makers have not yet revealed the starcast of the film.
A few days ago, director Munnawar Bhagat has released the official poster on his social media account.
The poster features a man flying in the sky that has obviously left the audiences intrigued. Speaking about the subject of the film, he says, "'Zhala Anant Hanumant' was Tendulkar's last play that he had penned. In the past, a lot of movies have been made based on his plays but nobody had made a film on his life's last drama. It is a classic and has an interesting storyline. So, I thought I'll be able to tell a good story to the Marathi audience via this film."
Talking about the safety precautions, Bhagat shares, "Right from restricting the number of people on sets to frequently sanitising the sets, we followed all the rules mentioned in the safety operating procedures."
Interestingly, Pratap Phad's debut directorial 'Ananya' is also based on the Marathi play by the same name. In fact, it was slated to be released in July but due to coronavirus outbreak it was put on hold. Some of the other movies that are based on the plays are 'Natsamrat', 'Katyar Kaljat Ghusali', 'Aapla Manus' etc.
