According to reports, the senior actor passed away due to a heart attack. He was 93. His demise has left the entire Marathi industry in a state of shock.

The veteran star was born on 30 January 1929. Deo's mainstream movie debut was the film 'Paatlaachi Por' in 1951. He made his

Bollywood

debut with Rajshree Production's 'Aarti' in (1962).

He is survived by his wife and noted actress Seema Deo and sons (Ajinkya Deo and Abhinay Deo). We offer the family our heartfelt condolences.

Ramesh Deo started off with a negative role, but quickly transitioned into a leading man in Marathi films. In his long and illustrious career he worked in hundreds of Hindi and Marathi films. He is remembered for his character roles in Hindi films like Anand, Aap Ki Kasam, Mere Apne, Mr India and many more. Ramesh Deo also directed multiple Marathi films and even an acclaimed TV show.
