Subodh Bhave, Pravin Tarde, Sushant Shelar, Ramesh Pardeshi, Shivaji Shinde, Rajesh Deshpande, Viju Mane and more are uniting for a similar initiative.
The team has managed to collect Rs. 2.5 lakh in a day and aims to get a lot more. Producer

, who is coordinating for the Mumbai region distribution, shared, “Along with 700 theatre backstage artistes, we also want to help backstage artistes from the film industry. The total count goes to around 3000 people. We are offering a grocery kit worth Rs. 1645 and Rs. 1000. So it’s Rs. 2645 for a period of 15 days. We are contributing and urge other artistes to do so too, in order to help the people who help us during shows and shoots.”
The #KalakaarForMaharashtra initiative aims to start with helping 700 theatre artistes before moving forward to others. Pravin, who is coordinating for the Pune region, added, “We announced this on Sunday morning and till evening we had received donations from many artistes, including Bharat Jadhav, Jitendra Joshi and others. Subodh is coordinating with authorities to help the stock reach the artistes. People from outside the Marathi industry are also contributing.”
