As Navratri festivities kick off today, and the country gears up to immerse in low-key celebrations, celebs from the Marathi film industry, dressed in colourful attire, are putting their fashionable foot forward in their social media posts. Actress Tejwaswini Pandit, however, is paying tribute to corona warriors ― healthcare workers ― on the first day of Navratri. An illustration by popular artist Uday Mohite (@indian_illustrator) features the ‘Mi
Sindhutai Sapkal
’ actress dressed as a doctor wearing PPE kit and face shield, attending a patient, and accompanied by two other healthcare workers. Tejaswnini took to her Instagram handle to share the powerful illustration that imagines her as ‘Goddess Durga’ taking care of an ailing person. The post has gone viral on social media.
The post is not just aimed at saluting healthcare workers, who have been working relentlessly in pandemic, but also to inspire and motivate people in these trying times. The post reads:
The message that the creators of the artwork and the actress want to give out is that the Goddess Durga, who is holding a stethoscope instead of a trident and dressed in PPE, will help everyone come out of their sufferings. It wants to motivate people to continue to hope.
Celebs from the Marathi industry have showered their love on the post and are looking forward to seeing more such artwork featuring Tejawini. While actor Siddharth Jadhav commented, “Wow wow wow.. (sic),” Dhanashri Kadgaonkar wrote, “Kyaa battt. Khup mast... (sic)” with a heart emoji.
Pooja Sawant said she “is excited to see the whole series. Very well done,” in her post.
