How does it feel? I am very happy as it is a big deal for any play to complete 50 shows. And the best part is that we did this in a very short period of time. It is an incredible experience and I am fortunate that in my first play itself I got Chandrakant Kulkarni as my director, Prashant Dalvi as the writer and a great team. I think that instead of me charging a fee for the play, they should be charging me for giving me this opportunity to work with them. I am extremely grateful for it and I am enjoying it a lot.
Other than your wife, who is from Aurangabad, what other connection do you share with the city? As an actor, I believe I have a connection with each and every person in the city. So, it would be very wrong if I say that I am related only to my in-laws here. I felt the connection during my first play performance here. The audience here is outstanding.
Do you have any early memories of your visit to the city? As a child, I have spent a lot of time in Aurangabad. There is so much to see, you just cant afford to miss a visit to those places. But for quite some time now I have not been able to schedule a vacation here. That is why I am really looking forward to spending some quality time.
Which is the one place in the city that you definitely visit when you are here? According to me the only place in the city which hasnt changed over the years is Kranti Chowk. I love spending time there, just standing and looking around. I also love the famous pav-bhaji that is available there and I ensure that I relish some whenever I get the chance.
Tell us something about your upcoming projects? Do you wish to do more stage plays? I dont think I would be doing any new play in a short while as 'Get Well Soon' has a very long way to go. Our team has plans to have at least 500 performances in the time to come. Also, I have three projects lined up for next year.
