While speaking about the same in an exclusive chat with Etimes, Swwapnil Joshi said "I think 'Duniyadari' was a milestone for everyone who was connected with it. It was a game-changer for Marathi cinema in many ways. The most amazing part was that this film was adopted from

Suhas Shirvalkar

's book. I portrayed the character of

Shreyas Talvalkar

in the film and we are celebrating 8 years today where my recently web series 'Samantar 2' was also written by Suhas Shirvalkar.

"I think it's a great tribute to Mr Shirvalkar that I am able to justify his stories on-screen. I think playing Shreyas Talvalkar in real life was something unreal for me. It was a life-changing moment for me even before the film became a hit. It was such an honour to portray one of your favourite characters from a book on-screen. It was the first time I was doing something based on a book. I genuinely feel that 'Duniyadari' has changed the audience perspective toward Marathi films" Joshi added.
