Subtitles help non-Marathi viewers watch our films: Sai

Strong content and out of the box storylines are synonymous to Marathi cinema. Blockbuster hits including 'Sairat' and 'Ventilator' are some recent examples that left an indelible mark on cine-goers. But actress Sai Tamhankar who was last seen in film 'Vazandar' feels that English subtitles can help spread the reach of Marathi cinema to the non-Marathi speaking audiences.Speaking at a press conference of second edition of Marathi Filmfare, Sai said, "Subtitles are helping to get non Marathi speaking people to watch our films." She also added that subtitles can engage non-Marathi viewers to watch Marathi films and appreciate the film and make them fall in love with its finer nuances.
