The historical enthusiast Digpal Lanjekar's 'Subhedar' collected Rs 1.05 crore net at the domestic box office on the first day of its release. Now, as per Sacnilk, the film has got a 60% hike on day 2 to make about Rs 1.75 crore.

The film saw a major jump in the evening shows which pushed the collection even higher. The film is a new release, but it is facing stiff competition from Ayushmann's 'Dream Girl 2' and Sunny Deol’s starrer 'Gadar'.

Digpal Lanjekar's 'Subhedar' revolves around the life of Tanaji Malusare, one of the most fearless but unsung warriors in Indian history and the military leader in the army of Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

It also stars Mrinal Kulkarni, Smita Shewale and Sameer Dharmadhikari in pivotal roles. The film is all set to hit screens on August 25, 2023.
