Ace filmmaker Digpal Lanjekar's historical epic 'Subhedar', the fifth instalment of Shivraj Ashtak tracing the life of Subedar Tanaji Malusare has recorded good collections in its opening weekend with collections Rs 5 crore.
The Ajay Purkar and Chinmay Mandlekar starrer opened at Rs 1.15 crore on Friday and jumped by 46 percent to Rs 1.69 crore on Saturday and saw another 31 percent spike to collect Rs 2.22 crore on Sunday.
The trend is good and the multi-starrer historical film is in a strong position after the three-day run at the box office.
Digpal Lanjekar's 'Subhedar' revolves around the life of Tanaji Malusare, one of the most fearless but unsung warriors in Indian history and the military leader in the army of Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
It also stars Mrinal Kulkarni, Smita Shewale and Sameer Dharmadhikari in pivotal roles. The film is all set to hit screens on August 25, 2023.
