'Subhedar': Character poster of Shrikant Prabhakar Bhide as 'Moropant' unveiled!

Actor Shrikant Prabhakar Bhide who is well-known for his movies like 'What About Savarkar?' and '1909' has a bagged a key role in Digpal Lanjekar's upcoming historical film 'Subhedar'.

Recently, the filmmaker Digpal took to his Instagram handle to unveil a character poster of Shrikant Prabhakar Bhide as 'Moropant'. Moropant Trimbak Pingale, was the first Peshwa of the Maratha Empire, serving on Shivaji Maharaj's Ashta Pradhan.

Talking about the film, Subedar Tanaji Malusare was a military leader in the Maratha Empire of Chhatrapati Shivaji. He led an army that successfully captured the Kondhana fort from a Rajput fort keeper named Udaybhan Singh Rathore.

It also stars Chinmay Mandlekar, Ajay Purkar and Mrinal Kulkarni in pivotal roles. The film is all set to hit screens on August 25, 2023.
