caught up with Tejaswini Pandit to chat about the web series 'RaanBaazaar' and her upcoming projects.

What appealed to you to be a part of the web series 'RaanBaazaar'?

As an actor, I am trying to break my own barrier. I want to explore all shades of character. Yes, my role in 'RaanBaazaar' is very different from all characters I have played. We were expecting some negative publicity for 'RaanBaazaar'.

Fortunately, the audience are appreciating its content and character. I want the audience to watch more Marathi content which is breaking their barrier. So, that is what I am trying to do in my industry.

How did you prepare to play the role of a sex worker?

Firstly, I think we need to be a very good observer. And this helped me in portraying any character. I am playing a sex worker in 'RaanBaazaar'. Our director Abhijit Panse had taken us to meet real-life sex workers to prepare for our character. After listening to their struggle, I think we are very living a very happy life. I think their story needs to be told.

Do you think people make a big deal about bold content on OTT platforms?

I think its a high time, we need to change ourselves. We watch 'Mirzapur' and 'Sacred Games', but use different glasses to watch Marathi films.
