Speaking to us about working with her daughter, Sonali says, “Sanayaah has earlier worked in a short film. She has also shot for a yet-to-be released digital film. I was eagerly waiting for an opportunity to work with her. So, when Priyanka told us that she wanted to cast both of us as mother and daughter in her project, we immediately gave our nod. My role is of a single mother, who is trying to make a name for herself. Sanayaah plays a rebellious teenager. The story also highlights the challenging teenage phase of her character.”

The actress shares that it is wonderful to work as co-actors on the sets. “I sometimes forget her character's name and call Sanayaah by her real name. Having said that, we have to get into completely different zones once the camera is on. Just because I am her mother doesn't mean I interfere in her way of working. I believe in giving that respect and space to her as a co-actor,” says Sonali.

The film also marks Sonali's reunion with Umesh after a long time. She shares, “Umesh and I had acted together in a Marathi serial called 'Hya Gojirvanya Gharat' many years ago. It feels great to see immense growth in him as an actor. Umesh exudes positive energy on sets.”
