Sonakshi Sinha, whose latest Bollywood film 'Tevar' is releasing on January 9, reveals her love for Marathi films in a candid chat with us. She has earned riches and fame in the capital of Maharashtra. So, does she have any plans to do a Marathi film to pay tribute to her karmabhumi? To this, she replies, Im now hooked to regional cinema because I have already broken the language barrier with 'Lingaa'.
So, it would be exciting to do a Marathi film because I understand the language and can speak it too, although not too fluently. Right now, there is a lot of great work being done in Marathi and Bollywood actors are producing Marathi films too. I guess, this the right time to enter this brilliant industry. If someone offers me a project, which is interesting, I will definitely do it without giving a second thought.
And is there any particular Marathi film that has really touched her heart? With a smile, she relies, I saw Riteish Deshmukhs 'Lai Bhari', which I simply loved. Then 'Shikshana Chya Aaicha Gho' is another film that moved me a lot. I think both the movies were brilliantly written, directed and picturised. They did touch the inner core.
