Shreyas Talpade to make a comeback in M-Town

The actor says that lack of good scripts kept him away from M-Town but he has decided to make a comeback with his home production
Shreyas Talpade to make a comeback in M-Town
Actor Shreyas Talpade, who is currently enjoying being part of the 100-crore club, is making it big in Bollywood. He is part of the Golmaal and Housefull franchises and now even Malamaal Weekly. However, closer home M-Town seems to be disappointed with the snub the actor has given to filmmakers here.
Shreyas was last seen in his home production Sanai Chaughade in 2008 in a cameo role romancing Sai Tamhankar.

Shreyas says, Honestly even I am missing Marathi films. But nothing interesting has come my way. On the other hand, in Bollywood I have been getting a lot of interesting offers and excellent opportunities to star in several big banner films.
The actor, who shot to fame with the Marathi play All The Best in the 90s admits that nothing much happened post Pachadlela and Savarkhed - Ek Gaav in the Marathi film industry. The actor says that he has plans for his comeback in M-Town. I waited for a long time for something interesting to come my way. But finally now I have decided to produce a good Marathi film and act in it. I have short-listed three scripts.
The actor is in good terms with his Apna Sapna Money Money and Housefull-2 co-star Riteish Deshmukh. He says, Riteish and I share a great chemistry. In fact, we complement each other and even improvise on scenes together. He is like a brother. He further adds, Even Riteish is planning to do a Marathi film. I am thinking of approaching him and I am sure he will not refuse.
Bollywood is definitely keeping him busy. The actor replaced Sharman Joshi in Golmaal-2, Rahul Khanna in Housefull-2 and now he will replace Riteish in the Malamaal Weekly sequel Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal. When people look for a replacement, they are definitely looking for something better. I hope to deliver better with every film. So is he looking for another 100-crore hit? The 100-crore is a fad these days, but again 3 Idiots has already set a record of 200 crore so definitely that remains the target for all.

Mahesh Kothare (actor/director): I had approached Shreyas twice but he wasnt sure whether he wanted to share his goodwill with other production houses. He wants to produce Marathi films. I spoke to him the other day and he has finalised three scripts. I am keen to watch him back in action in a Marathi film.
Rajiv Patil (filmmaker): Shreyas is a good friend and I am happy for what he has achieved. I enjoyed working with him in Savarkhed Ek Gaav and his home production Sanai Chaughade. But yes, the audience is definitely missing him in Marathi films. He has his viewership here.
Samruddhi Pore (filmmaker): Today, out of 20 nominations, Marathi films easily take 13 nominations and are consistently bagging awards. Shreyas shouldnt give a cold shoulder to Marathi as he started with Marathi films and theatre. He should, in fact, use his star power to benefit Marathi films. I have immense respect for an actor like Nana Patekar who has not discriminated between languages while doing films.
Sai Tamhankar (actress): I definitely miss him but I am sure he will work in M-Town if something interesting comes his way.
