Shreyas Talpade to make a come back in Marathi films
While actor Riteish Deshmukh is busy shooting for his first Marathi film as an actor after his maiden Marathi production venture left the box office window ringing early this year; another Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade is all set to make a full fledged come back in Marathi films.
Marathi audiences definitely missed this actor and were also upset that he showed his back to Marathi films after making a place for himself in Bollywood.

However, the actor defends himself saying, Whatever I am today is because of Marathi audience. I never deliberately decided to stay away from Marathi film. I was listening to scripts but nothing interesting was coming my way. Now I have liked a story and I have asked the makers to come with a proper screenplay draft. If the draft is good I am definitely going ahead and doing that film.
The actor was last seen in Sanai Chaughade which he produced with Subhash Ghai. I did a cameo in Sanai Chaghade. It will be after eight years that I will be doing full fledged role in a Marathi film, Shreyas said.
While the actor denies reveal details about the filmmaker who approached him, he said, It would make sense in divulging the details once the things are on paper. But the projects will start by the year end and will release next year.
Shreyas was last seen doing a full fledged role in Marathi films Savarkhed - Ek Gaon and Pachadlela way back in 2004. After his Bollywood debut with Iqbal in 2005 Shreyas was seen in a cameo in his home production Sanai Chaughade in 2008.

Marathi cinema has changed a lot since his first production says Shreyas. The economics have changed a lot. There has been a hike in fess of actors, technicians, et al, he adds. When asked if he will prefer to charge his fee to the producer or would prefer to have a share in profits of the film like most bollywood A listers do, Shreyas said, I dont mind having share in profits. But it depends on the producer. If producer prefer prefers to pay me my fees, I am fine with that as well. The motive is to make a good film and make the producers strong. I have seen in Bollywood that if a film has failed to recover the amount, an actor has returned some amount to the producers. It is all about cooperation. The trend will soon begin in Marathi as well.
Another Marathi film is also keeping the actor busy these days. Producing a Marathi film again has been on mind since 2011. However, for some or other reason it was getting delayed. I am glad that things are falling in place now. The script of the film is ready and we are bound to go on the floors by December. The cast is yet to be finalized.
Shreyas wont be acting in his production venture. When asked what kept him away from producing his second Marathi film for so long, the actor said, Producing a film is not an easy task. Sanai Chaughade did well at BO but then a word had spread out that I was now concentrating only on production. I had to make a choice between acting and production then.
