​'Sairat' to 'Baipan Bhari Deva'; FIVE Top highest grossing Marathi films at the Indian box Office​

Ace filmmaker Kedar Shinde's multi-starrer 'Baipan Bhari Deva' hit the screens on June 30, 2023, and opened to a thunderous response at the box office. It has collected nearly Rs 80.50 crore at the worldwide box office in 30 days. It is currently the second-highest-grossing Marathi film, which is no mean feat.

Ace filmmaker Nagraj Manjule’s heartbreakingly real love story 'Sairat', starring Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar, set against the backdrop of caste differences, collected Rs 80.98 crore at the box office at the Indian box office and the film's Worldwide collection was 110 crore.

The movie highlights the scourge of honour killings in the caste-ridden Maharashtrian society.

​'Baipan Bhari Deva'​


The Kedar Shinde-directorial 'Baipan Bhari Deva' is performing well at the box office and breaking records. The movie was released on June 30. It has collected nearly Rs 70.20 crore at the box office at the Indian box office and the film's Worldwide collection is Rs 80.50 crore in 30 days. It is currently the second-highest-grossing Marathi film, which is no mean feat.

​'Ved'​


Riteish Deshmukh's debut Marathi film, 'Ved' collected Rs 60.67 crore in India and Rs 74 crore worldwide in its fifty-day run and Rs 75 crore in 75 days. It also starred Jiya Shankar, Ashok Saraf and Shubhankar Tawde in pivotal roles. The film was released on December 30, 2022.

​'Natsamrat'​


Mahesh Manjrekar directorial ‘Natsamrat’ collected Rs 39 crore in India and minted Rs 48 crore worldwide. The film was an adaptation of the play, 'Kusumagraj'. It starred Nana Patekar, Medha Manjrekar, Vikram Gokhale, Sunil Barve and Mrunmayee Deshpande in pivotal roles.

​'Pawankhind'​



Actor-director Digpal Lanjekar's historical film 'Pawankhind' raked in Rs 35 crore in India and minted Rs 43 crore worldwide during its run and proved to be a massive hit. Its cast was headlined by Ruchi Mohan, Prajakta Mali, Ankit Mohan, Surabhi Bhave and Kshitee jog in pivotal roles.
