Actor-producer Riteish Deshmukh's upcoming film 'Yellow' focuses on down syndrome. The film revolves around a girl with down syndrome and how her mother fights for her.
A strong topic to take on, the film will see Gauri Gadgil, a down syndrome patient, play the lead in the film. Producer Uttung Thakur said, "My brother Shikhar Thakur visited a school for special children and he came up with an idea that something nice can be done with this as a concept.

We started the research work for this film under the guidance of Pradeep Kabre who is senior person from industry. It was during our research that we found our actress in Gauri Gadgil.The story of the film is very close to her life story."
Working with a person suffering from down syndrome was a challenge for the complete team. Director of the film, Mahesh Limaye said, "Getting an actress with down syndrome was definitely not easy but we are glad that we found Gauri. Everyone has worked hard and we are happy with the out come."
