Riteish Deshmukh REVEALS late filmmaker Nishikant Kamat was to direct ‘Ved’

There is just no stopping Riteish Deshmukh-Genelia Deshmukh's 'Ved'at the box office. The film which is one of the most successful releases of 2022, is heading for a phenomenal second week.

Recently, the real and reel-life couple organized a grand celebration on completing 20 on-screen years. Riteish who had made his acting debut in the Marathi industry with late filmmaker Nishikant Kamat's 'Lai Bhari', was asked about his memories with the filmmaker.

Riteish said, "I am directing 'Ved' because Nishikant Kamat is no more. Otherwise, this film would have been starring Riteish, and Genelia, directed by Nishikant Kamat. He is a friend of mine and he will always be with me,"

While speaking at the completion of two decades for 'Tujhe Meri Kasam', Riteish said, “The film has completed 20 years today. Thank you all of you for that. Thank you so much for being with us for the last 20 years. And just like the first film, we just feel that this is just the beginning"




Meanwhile, Riteish Deshmukh-Genelia Deshmukh's 'Ved' s slowly establishing its blockbuster status at the box office. The film netted an amazing 2.65 cr on day 6, thus taking its collections to a total of Rs 15.67 cr.

It also starred Jiya Shankar, Ashok Saraf and Shubhankar Tawde in pivotal roles. The film was released on December 30, 2022.
