Renuka Shahane ventures into direction after 10 years

Actress Renuka Shahane known for her role in recently released Marathi film Bucket List, is all set to venture into direction. The Hum Aapke Hain Koun actress will step into direction again after ten years and is all set to direct the upcoming drama film ‘Tribhanga’. The film will revolve around the topic of women power and three actresses have been finalised for the same.Well-known faces Shabana Azmi, Kajol and internet sensation Mithila Palkar have been roped in for the film.
Produced by Siddharth T Malhotra, Tribhanga marks the return of Renuka as a director after 10 years after helming the 2009 Marathi drama Rita which had featured actors like Jackie Shroff, Pallavi Joshi, Mohan Agashe and Tushar Dalvi in prominent roles. The film was based on the book, Rita Welingkar, penned by Renuka’s mother –Shanta Gokhale.
