The grand old man of Marathi and Hindi cinema Ramesh Deo is still active at the age of 86. He is still acting in the films for the past 64 years. Last week, he was shooting for a film at a college in Kandivali. On Tuesday evening, he was present as the chief guest for the music release of Kiran Nakti���s forthcoming Marathi film ���Cindrella���.

Meena Naik , who is also part of this film, suggested him to come forward to finance such films in future, the ever smiling actor quickly responded with a fine gesture.
He agreed to sponsor 50 shows of this film, to the children from different orphanages in Maharashtra. He was all praise for the two child artistes Rupesh Bane and Yashasvi Vengurlekar, who were present on the occasion and appreciated the perfect choice of the director, to cast them for these roles. After watching the first look of this film, he compared the film with the standard of ���Slumdog Millionaire��� and hoped this film also to win Oscars.
The film revolves around little brother and sister, who turn orphans after demise of their grandmother and have to face tough challenges in life. Newcomers Kiran and Gaurav have provided the music to this film, story of which is penned by Kiran Nakti along with Aditya Halbe. Produced by Abhinay Katta and Krupa Sindhu Pictures in collaboration with Shree Sankalp Film Productions, the other important artistes of this film are Yakub Syed, Janardan Parab , Mangesh Desai and Vineet Bhonde. The film is all set to release on 4th December.
