She might not have got her due in the Marathi film industry but Pune girl and actress Radhika Apte is slowly climbing the popularity ladder in the Hindi and Bengali industry. After her small yet noticeable role in 'Badlapur' where she played the role of Vinay Pathak's wife, Radhika got a prominent role in 'Hunterrr' opposite Gulshan Devaiah. Radhika was recently seen in the
Anurag Basu directed episodes of 'Chokher Bali' which is a part of the show 'Stories by Rabindranath Tagore' on Epic channel.
'Chokher Bali' revolves around a widowed Binodini who finds solace in Bali, who is married to Mahendra. Mahendra, incidentally, had seen an unwed Binodini's pictures and rejected her on several grounds. Radhika plays the role of Binodini in the TV adaptation which also stars Beena and Bhanu Uday among others.
The actress will also be seen in
Sujoy Ghosh's Bengali short film 'Ahalya' which is an ode to a legend from the Ramayana.
